Unit Manager for Financial Support, Labor Market, Housing, and Integration
The Social Services Administration in Lidingö Municipality is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, care for people with disabilities, individual and family care, as well as the reception and integration of newly arrived and unaccompanied children. The administration has about 800 employees and a budget of 1.3 billion SEK.
We are now looking for a:
Unit Manager for Financial Support, Labor Market, Housing, and Integration

We are looking for an engaged unit manager who wants to lead the continued transformation in connection with the new Social Services Act. The unit has several assignments and target groups and currently consists of 27 competent employees. The unit manager is supported in their role by several deputies and group coordinators.

Your Role
As the unit manager for Financial Support, Labor Market, Housing, and Integration, you will lead a unit with a broad and important mandate. You are responsible for developing and coordinating work within financial assistance, labor market initiatives, transitional housing, and integration-promoting work. Together with your employees, you create conditions for residents to achieve increased independence, self-sufficiency, and sustainable living situations in the long term.
An important part of the assignment is to continue the close collaboration with the city's business manager and to carry out various assignments together with them.
You have budget responsibility and partial personnel and work environment responsibility, as well as responsibility for close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You are part of the management group of the operational area.
Your Main Responsibilities
- lead and develop operations within labor market, housing, integration, and financial support
- ensure quality and legal security in the processing of financial assistance, domestic violence, transitional housing, estates, and budget and debt counseling
- collaborate with internal and external partners
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who has:
- a degree in social work
- solid experience in the authority's exercise of social services
- very good knowledge of the Social Services Act and related legislation
- good knowledge of financial assistance
- the ability to lead change work and develop operations
- very good communication skills and good collaboration skills
We value that you are flexible, structured, and communicative. You are a team player who is happy to share your knowledge and contribute to a professional and developing work environment. Personal qualities are highly valued.
Meritorious:
- several years of documented experience in leadership and personnel responsibility
- experience working with domestic violence
- experience in receiving newcomers and integration work
- experience collaborating with the business community and knowledge of business issues
